A society serving producers
Since its creation, PROCIREP has brought together film and television producers to collectively manage their rights and support audiovisual creation.
Who we are
PROCIREP, the Society of Film and Television Producers, is a collective management organisation (CMO). It brings together more than 850 film and audiovisual production companies.
Its mission is twofold: to collect and distribute the rights due to producers, in particular under private copying, and to support creation through its Film and Television creation-support commissions. The Television Commission also organises the French Television Producer of the Year Award.
Our main missions
The collective management of producers' rights, which covers in particular the remuneration for private copying and, through ANGOA, the collection and distribution of retransmission rights. PROCIREP is also responsible for the operational management in France of the ISAN identifier for audiovisual works. It has also recently extended its statutory mandate to cover the management of the use of works for the purpose of training Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems.
“A significant share of the sums collected is allocated to artistic and cultural action, as close as possible to producers’ needs.”
Support for creation is delivered through two commissions (Film and Television) made up of professionals (producers, broadcaster representatives) who meet several times a year to review applications and award the various types of support: development of feature films, production of short films, production and development of documentaries, development of TV drama or animation programmes, or collective-interest support.
Governance
PROCIREP is a civil-law company with variable capital that had 855 associate members as at 31 December 2025. It is administered by an Executive Committee (article 11 of the statutes), under the supervision of a Supervisory Board (article 16 of the statutes).
The Executive Committee is composed of 20 associate members, or representatives of associated legal entities, elected by the General Assembly, and a Managing Director, Mrs Isabelle MADELAINE, appointed by the General Assembly on the proposal of the Executive Committee.
The Supervisory Board is composed of 8 associate members, or representatives of associated legal entities, who are neither members nor represented on the Executive Committee, and who are elected by the General Assembly.
